Patricia Klimkewicz, CAPT, Ph.D., dean of the School of Health Sciences, was honored Oct. 23 as a New York State Senate “Woman Of Distinction” following her nomination by Senator Daphne Jordan.
The honor acknowledges Klimkewicz’s two decades as a professor of nursing at Hudson Valley Community College, as well as her distinguished service as a Captain in the United States Navy. In April 2020, she was deployed to the Javits Convention Center, which was temporarily set up to treat COVID-19 patients in New York City.
